I am an interactive product and system designer with a special interest in people. I believe design can help transforming society to be more focused, empathic, equal and transparent, and in my projects I try to achieve this goal by creating engaging, surprising and interactive products and systems that are conceptually as well as esthetically beautiful.
In my projects, I make extensive use of digital media, electronics and hardware such as wood, plastics, and metal. I'm used to working with Photoshop, Illustrator, Arduino, Processing, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
The other side of my skillset is more directed towards people. I can work well in a team, and often take a leadership position due to my pro-active attitude. During my time at Industrial Design in Eindhoven, I learned and implemented various techniques to keep the productivity in a team on a high level without underlying tensions.
"What you did very well, is taking the leadership when required, in a very confident way. You helped your team members by giving constructive advise during meetings. I think you are a natural and calm leader" - Jan Rouvroye (coach 2nd year project at ID)
"A very strong point of yours is getting to know the essence of the client's need. Because you really asked us for the targeted effect of the videos, the end result is better than we thought of beforehand" - Anthonie Meijers (TU/e professor and client of a videography project)
"I just told my mother how nice it is to work with Stef, you can just discuss every subject together and come to a solution that works for both." - Yannick Brouwer (fellow student and team member at ID TU/e)
"You have a very open and pro-active attitude, you're a pleasure to work with" - Menno Stoffelsen (coach 1st year project at ID)
